THE BEST SUPPORTING MATTRESS

Many people think that a firm bed is best for a bad back but hardness can actually increase
the pressure points between you and the mattress, restricting blood circulation and leasing to
restless sleep.

* Waterbeds are now thought to provide one of the best forms of support for your body.

* The displacement of water conforms to you body shape.

* The firmness can be adjusted to suit you.

* The temperature can be controlled to give you the ultimate in comfort.

FEWER ACHES AND PAINS

If you suffer from chronic arthritis rheumatism, muscular or joint pain, a waterbeds superior
support combined with a natural, regulated temperature, will keep you as pain and stress free
as possible.

The "weightlessness" of water as a supporting surface has long been used in the medical
world for it's help in relieving patients with bed sores and burn injuries. Again , water
displacement takes the pressure off the restricted tissues, and encourages blood to circulate
to the affected area once more.

HYGIENIC AND SAFE

Because water filled mattresses cannot harbour dust or bacteria, waterbeds are very beneficial
to asthma and allergy sufferers.

Houses dust mites (or at least their droppings) are identity fiedas a significant trigger for
people with asthma and related allergies such as eczema. An ordinary fabric mattress is probably
the biggest collector of mites in the whole of the house, and the sleepers loss of moisture and dead skin at night
create a perfect breeding ground. The dust mites - plus their droppings - simply build up year after year.
And the problem multiplies with millions of tiny irritants that are virtually impossible to get rid of, yeuch!

A waterbed doesn't have this problem. dust mites cannot get into, let alone live in the water filled environment.
The mattress itself can be simply wiped clean to eliminate any skin and dust debris from the surface, while the outer
covering can be removed easily and washed at 60 degrees - the temperature at which mites are killed.

WATERBED MYTHS

Will it make me sea sick?
While some people find the movement in a waterbed relaxing, to others it has been the main reason for dismissing the
idea. For years, we have been supplying mattresses in our beds with virtually no movement. This is achieved by putting
layers of fibre inside the water mattress. We can vary these to suit your requirements, e.g. 2 layer 3 layer 4,5,and 7 layer
and so on. The choice is yours.

Do I have to reinforce my floor?
Every waterbed has a pedestal base which distributes the weight evenly. This means you actually exert more pressure on
your floor when having a bath! Waterbeds can de safely installed in any type of house or flat, old or new.

What if it punctures? Won't it flood?
The water mattress is made of very strong durable vinyl. Unless someone makes a deliberate attempt to damage the bed
with a sharp instrument it is unlikely to rupture. However, if that were to happen the safety liner within the frame would
contain any spillage. Any split in the mattress can be permanently repaired with the patch kit provided.

Will it be good for my back? Surely it's too soft?
A waterbed gives the impression of being soft, but because of it's ability to contour to the shape of your body it offers
total support with out pressure points associated with a hard sprung mattress. Support not hard pressure is the answer to most
back and neck problems and with constant controllable temperature you are providing your joints and spine with therapy while
you sleep.

Will it cost a lot heat?
Our waterbeds use a thermostatically controlled heater. This is connected to a heater pad and sensor situated under the safety
liner. The thermostat controls your bed 24 hours a day costing about 50 pence a week.

What will my waterbed it look like?
Soft side waterbeds, as the name suggests are designed to flex on the edges, making it easier getting in and out of bed. some
of our models look just like a traditional divan bed whilst other models are contemporary and futuristic in design. All our waterbeds
are available in a variety of sizes and we are confident we have a bed to suit you and your lifestyle.
